(It's because of Fallout 1 and 2 being made by Interplay. There's also Fallout Tactics but that started to change and was not appreciated as much. To put it simply; Fallout was a completely different game before Bethesda came into the picture. Now take Fallout: New Vegas, this is the closest it has come to being Fallout again, and it's still not close. I personally like both variations for different reasons. People try to compare it too much.)

(Honestly, they do have their differences, but seriously, Fallout is Fallout, people shouldn't be deviding themselves like that.)

I suggest that we don't put forth any wide-scale searches, instead. We should simply wait. Our enemies are bound to find each other eventually, and then we can simply pick them off when their fight is over.

(I think the most disappointing to the Veterans is just how much it changed, and I can certainly understand why. As a Veteran myself, going into it I expected the Nostalgic Trip, and was quite swiftly disappointed. For quite awhile I set Fallout 3 aside and played other games. However, I finally got it (And New Vegas) on the PC and modded it up, and now I can't stop playing it, people need to focus on their advantages. Here's an example of how much Fallout changed.)

(Bethesda could always opt for a "Classic mode" and "Normal mode" Offering a top down camera view, and similer system to Fallout one and two.)

(Well putting gameplay aside, there's also Lore. The story, the dialogue. It's all very, very different. Fallout 3 and New Vegas, while not bad. They're certainly not the same ride by any means. New Vegas came much closer and I love playin' it. It's sorta like.... Making a Touhou game without any of the Touhou cast, arguably it's still Touhou, yes. But it's not the same that everyone came to love, y'know?)

(The ironic thing here? Touhou was what got me into Fallout 3 and New Vegas. And a variety of mods, but Touhou mods mostly. xD)
