Patchouli cries more. It seems Veledren is the only thing that will cheer her up.

Yukari panics more.

I'm a Demon Slayer, in short summary we are "born and made to hunt Demons". We do the jobs that no one else can, and take back the world little by little -- Well, that's what I used to do before coming to Gensokyo.

Remilia panics as well.

Patchouli, your asthma, please! Calm down!

Patchouli starts breathing heavily, but continues crying.

"Cool!!"

Yeah, I had to fight all varieties of Demons. Like the Vanguard, or the Armored Spider, and then there was the Dragon in the Mountain... They just kept springing up with something new all the time.

Yuuka who is more usually calm and the sort, begins panicing also.

A group of Oni walks towards them.

"Tell me a story!"

Remilia looks over to the Oni.

Oh, I forgot about them, too!

Veledren nods.

Alright, I'll tell you about the Tower Knight. I was hired to take back a Fortress; everything was going fine so far. I had cleared out the basic army the Demons had stationed there, opened the gates. And made my way across the long bridge leading to the main part of the Fortress. As I pass through the entrance. I come to a large courtyard. Large walls all around. Archers stand and take aim at me. And then to the front of me... A Tower Knight as large as... Well, a Tower stands with a Spear and Shield of equal size.

He takes a moment, recalling how the rest of it went.

I charged in swiftly, evading arrows. And then I slashed out the Tower Knight's ankles, causing him to fall. I then proceeded to his head and finished him off. With the large threat out of the way, I took care of the Archers. And went on to take back the Fortress.

Aki claps with a smile "Goody!!"

The Oni step aside letting one walk forward.

Patchouli stops crying, gasping for air.

Ah, her inhaler...!

Remilia returns gaze to Patchouli, searching for the inhaler.

There was also the time that I fought a Phantom... Mind you, it was one very different from your Father, or anyone here. It was a Black Phantom -- A soul lost and corrupted.

The inhaler drops out from under Patchouli's hat

"Wow!! Another phantom???"

Remilia picks up the inhaler, and proceeds to help Patchouli.

Please, calm down. We'll find Veledren. But it won't do either of you any good to worry yourself to death.

Veledren nods.

Yes, only this one was coated in a red aura, driven insane from the presence of the Demons. It became feral; destroying everything near it in self defense. Demons consume souls, so naturally, when a Soul survives in some shape or form. It learns to protect itself... The ones not so lucky become a Black Phantom.

Patchouli nods, wiping the tears from her eyes.

Aki keeps on listening "Wow!"

As it turns out... I knew this Black Phantom; Ostrava is his name. He was a Noble. The battle was drawn out and dangerous because of our area of combat; a narrow bridge. Either of us could have fallen with a wrong step or the right move to throw the other off. I just barely managed to defeat him, cleansing him at the same time and allowing him to rest.

Remilia hands the inhaler back to Patchouli.

Now...

She looks to the Oni.

"Wow! Interesting!!!"

The stories continue in the same manner, however. If you want to hear anything other than combat then... Well, I can't really talk about anything, pretty much my entire life has been based around something wanting to claw my throat out -- Ironic, that...

Ehhheheheh...Helloooooo there It's just Suika, drunk as usual.
