Trust me, I don't think it was as bad as the first time I fought a Dragon... I saw it raise it's head, and I saw the flames conjuring in it's mouth. Instincts were saying 'Move.' and the first thing I do? I raise my shield and stand my ground.

Veledren sighed, shaking his head.

.... That was not a pleasant day.

Gabriel continued to check Eirin's physical health.

Well, at least things worked out in the end. We've matured quite a bit since our blunders.

Of course, since he was a Demon, he had a rather surprisingly high endurance when it came to this. By the time he was finished, Eirin would find it difficult to even stand.

I'll check the area a little, maybe find who did this, or some clues. Either way, I'm going to make sure they pay for this... Failing any of those, we might find Survivors.

Valerius said as he made his way to the Village.

I'm glad that I was finally able to calm down about this. It's definitely an interesting experience to talk about things in a relaxing setting.

Gabriel helped her stand, if she needed to be doing so at the moment.

.... Maybe I should have warned you about that.

Valerius eventually unsheathes the blade as he nears the Village, and then gently holds Yuuka's hand.

I won't let anything happen, I promise.

He said in a comforting tone, and then scans the details of the Village, continuing at a cautious pace.

It is. Some people may think this would be awkward. Though, honestly it is very easy to bond with friends and family within such a calming atmosphere.

Eirin was definately unable to stand.

The village was very creepy. Anything there was dead.

Valerius sighed as he finished checking the Village. He almost seemed used to this atmosphere.

It was awkward for me the first time too. But I have gotten used to it.

The swords were very strange. They all had distinct engravings on them.

A makeshift Flamethrower, not bad. Wouldn't it be easier to just use Magic, though?

Gabriel then gently set Eirin in a chair.

I'll go check on him.

With that, he dressed once again, and made his way back into the room. He then gave control of the body back to Reimu, as well as her physical form.

Valerius gripped the blade and pulled it out.

I'll examine this later.

Valerius then began making his way out of the Village with Yuuka.

Valerius stopped as they reached a cleared out area, a little ways from the Village. Valerius knelt down and set a large pack on the ground. He opens it and shifts through a number of supplies for a moment.

I guess we'll camp here. I don't really know where to go from here.

Veledren fell silent, relaxing a little.

Oh? Then it will be just a moment...

In a short amount of time, he set up a Campfire, and two tents. He then examines the area around the Camp for a minute, and he then simply casts a spell which formed a rock wall around the Camp, save for a single entrance, and then a nearby Tree was temporarily shifted to a watch post.

There, now we won't have to worry about too much.

He dug through the pack again, taking out some food, he used the Campfire to cook it, and then set it in a bowl. He then collects a utensil and handed the bowl of food to Yuuka.

It's not the greatest meal, but it's better than nothing.

Reimu sits down next to Vance.

Yuuka didn't smile. But she was grateful for the food. She begins eating at a calm pace.

Valerius stands, taking a Bow and going up to the Watch Post, he scans the surroundings, letting Yuuka eat in peace.
